Circle Optics Secures $1.25 Million to Advance Stitch-Free 360-Degree Camera Technology

Rochester, New York, February 14, 2023: Circle Optics, inventors of the world’s only stitch-free panoramic camera system, has just secured a $1.25 M contract to further advance their groundbreaking technology. The company’s 360-degree camera offers a revolutionary new way to capture panoramic images without the need for time-consuming and complex stitching processes.

With the new funding from AFWERX, the innovation arm of the Department of the Air Force, Circle Optics plans to reduce the cost, size, and weight of their camera, making it more accessible to the mass VR market. The company’s goal is to provide consumers with an affordable and user-friendly way to capture and share 360-degree images and videos.

“Our mission has always been to bring immersive 360-degree imaging to everyone, and this new contract will help us achieve that goal,” says Founder and CEO Zak Niazi.

The company’s innovative approach to 360-degree imaging has already garnered significant attention in the VR community, and the new contract will allow Circle Optics to bring their technology to even more users. With the growth of the VR market and increasing demand for immersive content, Circle Optics is well-positioned to revolutionize the way we capture and experience panoramic images.

“The potential for our stitch-free panoramic camera technology is immense, and we’re excited to bring it to the mass market,” added Niazi. “We believe this technology will have a profound impact on the VR industry, and we’re eager to see how content creators will use it to create new and innovative experiences.”

Circle Optics is poised to continue Rochester, New York’s legacy of optic expertise with their cutting-edge technology and new funding.
